10 Reasons Why I love Mickie O

When I was younger I would hear people refer to Jacquelyn Kennedy Onassis as Jackie O and they spoke of her with such zeal, and as a country we loved her beauty, intelligence, and her innate sense of style. At times I would even find myself saying that I wanted to be the Black Jackie O of this or that, but now I can say that I want to be the Mickie O of whatever my heart desires.

I know some of you feel like you don’t even know her so I will give you 10 reasons why she rocks!

10 reasons why I love Mickie O

1) Mickie O is an educated African American woman Just like me and is a model of what African American women can achieve.

2) Mickie O is soon to be our first lady!

3) Mickie O is extremely fashionable and carries herself with impeccable grace and class.

4) Mickie O gives African American women hope, by showing us that we are capable of greatness with or without a man (she had it going on before Barack!)

5) We share the same birth sign.

6) Mickie O & Barack’s first date was to the movies to see Do the Right Thing.

7) She stands with her man ie. Severing ties with a company and a pay check (more on that later)

8) Mickie O made more money than Mr. President in 2006.

9) Mickie O gives you something you can feel her speeches are eloquent and at the same time are empowering .

10) Mickie O is showing these young girls what it is to be a wife and mother, she is the quintessential African American Mother, I will even go as far as calling her the real Claire Huxtuable.
